Today, I’ll be showing you the last three lipstick shades from Lancome’s latest release and a comparison of all the lipsticks I own from the L’absolu Rouge Intimatte line.
My three beauties (from left to right): 226 Worn off nude, 282 Very French, 388 Rose Lancome
And my modest collection:
Packaging and features:
I told you about these lipsticks. Nothing has changed since then. The packaging is still luxurious and metallic, with a beige-rose case featuring the brand’s gold logo. The lipstick opens by pressing on the logo.
It’s a very convenient system that prevents accidental opening in your bag, and in my case, it keeps curious little hands at bay π
The weight of each lipstick is 3.4 grams.
The texture is delicate and powdery, with an initial moist finish that eventually turns velvety.
The lipsticks are long-lasting, withstand a light snack, and fade evenly. In addition, they don’t dry out my lips too much.
The brighter shades leave a tint that reflects the original shade.
Despite the lightweight texture, the lipsticks cover lip pigmentation with just one layer.
The scent is that of a classic lipstick, subtle and disappears shortly after application.
Lancome 226 Worn off nude
A delicate, natural pink nude with no detectable reddish undertones.
Lancome 282 Very French
A red-pink shade, not too bold or quite nude, but not bright lipstick. It’s somewhere in between.
This is probably my favorite of the three.
Lancome 388 Rose
A surprising shade?
Bright pink, fuchsia, almost neon-like on the lips with a touch of red.
I wanted to try a bright lipstick, so here we go π
I never wear red shades, let alone fuchsia. The Korean beauty vloggers in their video reviews tried to warn me, but I thought it wouldn’t be too bright on me. I applied it, approached the mirror, and jumped in surprise π
How does such a shade come from this stick?!
Firstly, I immediately realized I’d rather see a brunette wearing this shade in the mirror. Secondly, the eye makeup should have been even softer, preferably just mascara or, at most, eyeliner.
Comparative swatches:
Here, I wanted to compare the nude shade 226 with the shade from my previous post, 292 Plush Love.
Swatches of all shades from my collection:
Conclusions:
The lipsticks are of excellent quality with wonderful features, but I was surprised that the lipstick sticks (except for the nude) don’t match the shade that appears on the lips. On the other hand, I was satisfied with all of the shades, even the boldest ones. I don’t want to give it away and am trying to make friends with it.
I constantly reached for them and discovered that I wanted red blush. So how come I bought lipsticks with a touch of red but no blush?
So, expect a review of red blushes from me shortly π
I hope this post helps you a bit with choosing a shade. This line by Lancome turned out to be bright, interesting, and complementary.
π Rating: 5/5
π Price: approx. $30
π Usage time: about 3 weeks.

Masha, thanks for the post!
I fell in love with your post about #292, and it made me want to try it.
I chose #282 for myself. It’s a beautiful shade! However, I’d rate it no more than 3.5. I didn’t like the packaging (it gets dirty easily, and the extra button action is annoying), and it dries out my lips. After 15 minutes, my lips with this lipstick turn into an accordion π
I liked #292 on you the most!
And indeed, the fuchsia shade is a surprise β I wouldn’t have guessed it looked like that from the stick.
Really? It dries out your lips? It doesn’t do that to me at all… Pat’s lipsticks dry my lips like crazy. So, maybe try using a lip balm underneath? How do you like the shade itself?
I love the button feature (because of my kids), it’s the only lipstick I can leave out in the open.
The fuchsia shade totally surprised me, I wasn’t expecting it to be like that π
That’s what I thought: I’d want to try all four shades πΉ
I really liked all three new ones and the previous one, even the bold pink β it looks so cool paired with a striped shirt!
Alisha mentioned above that it dries out her lips, but I don’t have that issue even though my lips often get dry. So, my advice is to try just one shade first ππ
As for the bold pink, I’ll need time to get used to it. I think I’ll wear it with a full denim style, plus a white or striped shirt and minimal eye makeup.
I absolutely love the 388 Rose Lancome shade, it has captured my heart π I never paid much attention to the brand before, only having their lip shakers, but now I want one of these lipsticks for myself! Thank you so much for the amazing review!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment ππ· I wouldn’t call myself a fan of the brand either, having tried their mascara, skincare, and only recently their lipsticks this year, but so far I’ve liked all the products. The 388 shade is very interesting and bold, not for everyone, but it’s beautiful and eye-catching on its own ππ
I’ve been waiting for this post. All the lipsticks are undoubtedly beautiful. The 388 shade looks stunning on you, don’t even think about parting with it. No need for brunettes here, everything is perfect.
I really liked all of them, but there’s no point in getting the 388 in this series since I already have a matte one, and they’re similar, as I mentioned in another post. The texture is very pleasant, but for myself, I see the point in getting only two shades.
Yes, the shade is identical! You definitely don’t need it β such a cool fuchsia. If you decide to get one, start with one shade in case you don’t like the formula.
Wow, so the perfect matte lipstick has finally been created… Bravo, LancΓ΄me!
I loved all three shades on you, but especially the fuchsia!
I’ll definitely be getting a couple for myself.

Masha, the Rose Lancome shade on you is simply stunning! All three look great, but the last one is exceptionally charming! I’m a brunette, and I always thought that these colors were too much for my contrasting dark appearance. I believed they were better suited for girls like you. Yes, it’s bright and eye-catching, but not overdone. I’ll definitely take a closer look at the range when I get a chance!
Do you really like it? That’s great; it means I’ll have to tame and get used to the color. I absolutely love the shade itself, but it’s just very bright and unusual for me.
Many girls wear bright lipsticks every day, but I’ve always had a thousand shades of nude. After all, summer is coming, so it’s time to put away bold eye makeup and bring out the vibrant lip colors! π
I actually like bright lipsticks on blondes π. The key, in my humble opinion, is simple and/or monochrome clothing, white t-shirts and shirts are great, denim as you mentioned, minimal eye makeup β you already know all of this π. On brunettes, it’s of course very beautiful but somewhat predictable, while on blondes β it’s intriguing ππ€© Masha, thanks for the showcase, I liked all three shades. The first is a delicious nude, the third is a raspberry velvet, and the second is just right π Oh, and I really liked your striped shirt, I adore them!
I agree with everything you said about styling with bright lipsticks. Of course, you can wear a black or white dress and curls, but that’s not for a woman on maternity leave π
I love striped shirts and clean colors in clothing. Thank you for the comment; I agree with you on everything, as always, you “see right to the heart” πππππ
