Discover the Best Mint Nail Polishes for a Fresh, Summery Look

It all began when I purchased a new nail polish – the delightful pastel ANNY 372.10 point it mint, perfect for summer and looks incredibly refreshing on the nails. This purchase inspired me to revisit all of my “mint” polishes. I cleaned up my collection so thoroughly that only five remained.

These nail polishes come from various manufacturers and span different price ranges.

Brushes of the polishes left to right: Chanel, Pink Up, Anny, Dior, Mavala.

Mint is a complex color. It’s typically a shade of green with a blue undertone or vice versa. It ranges from delicate pastels to more saturated tones, veering towards turquoise or pine green. The new ANNY 372.10 point mint from the Pastel Paradise Collection is a heavily whitened shade with a noticeable hint of greenish turquoise.

The texture of this polish is creamy, with a decent consistency. However, it can slightly streak during application. I need at least three thin coats for a smooth, even finish without looking patchy. A flat fan brush greatly aids in applying the polish. The polish dries well on its own, but its durability is average – it lasts a maximum of 3 days before chipping, particularly on the heavily-used index fingers.

This is a beautiful mint pastel polish, scoring an 8/10.

The current price range for this product is approximately $5 to $10.

Country of origin: Germany.

I am delighted with my purchase.

The second polish in my collection is Chanel 590 Verde Pastello, released in Spring 2018 by Lucia Pica as part of the Neapolis: new city spring/summer collection 2018. It’s also a cream polish with a reasonably manageable texture. I typically apply three coats without using a base coat. The brush is thin, round and may be inconvenient for some, but it works for me. The color is quite saturated for a mint shade, complex and tricky – its pine green component might not complement your skin tone and can appear dirty on the nails. Luckily, I got along well with the shade, but I remember feeling slightly disappointed after the purchase – perhaps I initially had unreasonably high expectations. Over time, surprisingly, the neutral mint shade grew on me, and I became delighted with its decent durability.

I got it for around $20, and today the price for this polish is negotiable.

Country of origin: France.

The third polish is Pink Up 08 from the Love Me Tender collection I once wrote about. I won’t repeat myself, but I’ll note that it’s an adorable polish with a pleasant, problem-free jelly texture and subtle shimmer.

Using the trio as mentioned above, I created my first mint-colored manicure. It turned out modestly but very summery. Nevertheless, I enjoyed wearing it in the heat.

Moreover, you can arrange the polishes on your nails in any order, depending on your imagination and mood.

Unlike the previous ones, the last two have a higher blue content. The first one is Dior 301 Bleuette from the Dior Glowing Gardens Spring 2016 collection.

The polish has a creamy texture, slightly lighter than the mint ANNY. It applies very well, as is typical for Dior polishes. I need no less than three coats for dense coverage. The polish also wears exceptionally well.

Rating: 10/10.

I have already written about the other one, Mavala 181 Blue Mint, from the Delicious Nail Polish Collection. The polish has a creamy texture but with a twist – the finest highlighting shimmer that doesn’t stand out but adds volume to the coverage. It pairs perfectly with Dior 301 Bleuette.

I love combining polishes, even within the same color range, and the resulting manicures are just as good as if the polishes were multi-colored and contrasting.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely, Rita.

Rita, as always, your manicures are perfect and so inspiring! Almost any shade suits you.
What’s summer without a touch of mint?
Anny Paint It Mint – a very pleasant and politically correct shade (just like its collection mate, Stormy Blue), I wore it this week. By the way, last year they were instantly snatched up upon the collection’s release, but now I can’t believe my eyes – they’re in stock, what a surprise…
Dior is great, it’s a pity that it has long been discontinued…
I really liked Pink Up – it’s moderately bright and not too acidic.

Marianna, I’m so happy to see you! 🙋‍♀️
Yes, I easily bought it, and Stormy Blue, by the way, too 😉
I have a very tender attitude towards Dior. I cherish it))

Wow, this is so beautiful! Pink Up pleasantly surprised me, I haven’t seen such interesting collections from the brand before. I was looking at the mint Anny shade yesterday, but didn’t get it, instead I chose a nude shade of make up, I should have gotten both.

Oh yes, that’s an old collection. The brand used to release some very interesting mixes. It’s such a shame that nowadays Pink Up has become dull, sad, or has already been done before. Although, this is happening with many brands today. Regardless, I hope for better times in the future.
Anny nail polishes are worth buying, they rarely disappoint.

Rita, you have “golden” hands! Your manicure is perfect and the mint combination looks so beautiful. I’ve taken note of Mavala 181 Blue Mint for myself, I’ll go revisit the collection it’s from (while talking myself out of ANNY)))

Margo, you can still find this little gem for sale. Mavala rarely discontinues popular nail polishes, and this blue one was a hit in its time, and still quite trendy now))
