Hello everyone!
About the first palette from ABH which I bought a year ago and which I started using only now. I think the brand and its main offspring need no introduction – shadows from Anastasia have gained and confidently hold one of the leading positions in the beauty segment, and for me personally they had the following properties behind the scenes: mad pigmentation with fully matte shades, as well as ease of application and easy shading.
Let’s check it all out with personal experience.
I have chosen Soft Glam II for the trivial reason of having a small number of basic shades that I can handle. The mini version is not exactly a scaled-down copy of the classic Soft Glam version, but they are similar in appearance.
The palette is represented by 8 shades, including 5 matte, 2 satin and 1 shimmer. It comes in a tactilely pleasant, rough velvet-like covering, housed in cardboard packaging. There has been a lot of controversy about the material and its starchiness in use, but I like this non-basic design. The mirror is comfortable, it doesn’t distort reality.
The palette in Soft glam mini in my opinion is safe and logical, it is suitable for the daily basis, to build a day or evening image on it alone. So more about it and each of its representatives, starting with the first row:
The first shade of Tempera
Soft satin, pretending to be matte. Milky color with the presence of small but still visible glitters. In life and in swatches it looks excessively whitish, but with a fluffy brush it gets a light translucent veil shimmer. Beautiful, but not as a complete and independent shade.
The second shade Dreamer
Satin. A beautiful satin that has become one of my favorites and frequently used shades. The formula reminds me of the Satin 4 from Charlotte – it’s a soft and smooth champagne shade that lays beautifully on the eyelid, smoothing out its texture. Applies evenly without requiring layering underneath – I apply with my finger, blurring the lines of application with a brush. I love it.
Shade 3 Orange Soda
A matte orange and sandy shade that creates a soft and airy blend in makeup. A light, clear shade that does exactly what it is supposed to do at the touch of a fluffy brush. It does not contain any active pigment and you needn’t worry about the orange component either.
Dusty Rose shade.
A cold dusty rose whose purpose and characteristics are identical to the previous shade. I rarely wear it as a solo version since I rarely do neutral-cold makeup, so I use it in conjunction with the previous shade.
First Row Swatches:
Let’s move on to the second row:
Incense shade
It’s a matte caramel shade, which is more intense than the two previously described. I apply it in the crease, I can mix it with Orange soda, the main thing is to shake off the brush before applying, the shade is too dusty.
Sultry shade.
A pigmented, soft pink-brown shimmer that crumbled from its softness on the first swatch.
The most logical use for me was to apply it to the entire mobile eyelid, I also like to use it as an accent on just the lower eyelid. A little crumbly, so I apply it with a slight pressing motion.
Mulberry shade.
My matte favorite. A beautiful and slightly deceptive color that looks red-brown with a burgundy story in the refill, in makeup I see echoes of purple already. I like to wear it alone, shading the borders with a mixture of Orange soda and Ingense shade, and also draw my arrows with it.
A pigmented shade that lays down cleanly and evenly without any gaps, a little dry to the touch, but it does not show in makeup, application or wear in any way.
Shade Noir
Very similar to the Mulberry shade in its characteristics, even to the touch it seems to be the same with its dryness. The shade I don’t use often, although it is very good in terms of its properties – dense, pigmented black, lays cleanly, without holes or gaps.
General swatch of the second row:
And makeup options:
all matte except Noir
all shades except Noir and Dusty Rose
To briefly summarize all the shades, the matte ones are loose, leaving traces on their surface from the contact of a brush. The darkest matte shades are drying. The matte ones are easy and simple to apply and shade, they blend and combine together beautifully, do not stain or stick.
Satin shimmers are soft, pigmented shades that don’t need a base/undercoat to open up – they give off their color to the maximum, both when applied with a brush and with your fingers
On the overall points of both textures, I’ll highlight the most important thing – the shadows last for 12 hours without rolling, smudging, crumbling or losing their intensity. I don’t know how they can do that, but on my oily skin that rolls everything, these shadows hold up without any helpers.
I don’t want to be corny and repeat already known truths, regarding shadows and soft glam mini palette, but I really don’t know what else to add new – yes, a great basic warm and simple palette, with a successful, but not perfect formula. This fall season, my every makeup look includes at least one shade from this palette.
Thank you for your attention π€

You are beautiful as always! But I catch myself thinking that I like your intense eye makeup more and more – smoky, darker, brighter, bold arrows. With your delicate appearance it makes a real wow effect!
Exquisite makeup

How beautifully you showed it, Ira! That last makeup is a favorite. The eye accent in your makeup really suits you π·
I have a big soft glam, opinion is similar to yours) not everything is perfect, but I love it and won’t give it to anyone)))
Thank you very much π€ I like the accent on eyes in autumn/winter, but in summer I prefer bright lipsticks and glosses, now even for autumn there is nothing more colorful for lips) in a big palette there is a cool selection! So you can enjoy it for sure.
Just to trick decent people into spending money…
